Project Description

Spätburgunder Trocken  Stubensandstein

Back
Spätburgunder Trocken »Stubensandstein« | Weingut Karl Haidle

A fruity, spicy and thoroughly approachable Spätburgunder.

Aromas of black currants are followed by hints of smoky bacon and marzipan. A little time in the glass reveals notes of wild strawberry and walnuts.

Flavors of red fruits, especially sour cherry and raspberry, are prevalent. Marked tannins and a good momentum on the palate promise delight from first sip to last.

Stubensandstein

This special stone comes from a formation in the upper section of the middle Keuper landscape. It is a mid- to coarse-grained sediment and was once used as a scouring agent in homes (‘Stuben’ = parlor). That common use gave it the name it still bears today.
